Atelier Biagetti is looking for a Senior Product Designer in Milan to develop high-quality designs for furniture, lighting, and homewares. This role requires a minimum of five years’ design experience, a strong understanding of materials, and excellent 3D modeling skills. The designer will work closely with the team and suppliers to deliver innovative design solutions while keeping up with industry trends, particularly in AI applications. An on-site presence is essential to foster collaboration and creativity.

Atelier Biagetti is seeking a creative, yet pragmatic individual to develop designs and visuals.

A minimum of five years’ experience and a strong passion and understanding of design are required.

The Senior Product Designer

will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of design furniture, lighting, and homewares. The role primarily involves creating 3D models and technical drawings, and developing items specified for interiors projects and installations. It involves working closely with all members of the Atelier Biagetti team and with our network of skilled makers, and requires prior experience in prototype and small-to-medium production processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design team to define the product vision and strategy

Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends and customer needs

Create sketches, models, and prototypes to communicate design ideas

Assess technical feasibility of proposed solutions

Define design specifications and product requirements

Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality and timelines

Stay up to date on materials, technologies, and trends – including AI tools applied to design

Demonstrate outstanding design and presentation skills

Experience in producing furniture, lighting, and homeware

Solid understanding of materials and fabrication processes

Excellent 3D modeling and rendering skills

Comfortable working independently and within a team

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Professional communication with makers and the supply chain

Italian language skills are mandatory – excellent spoken and written

Attention to detail, ability to multitask

Team spirit, discretion, and a proactive mindset are essential

Interest in AI for design is considered a plus

This is an on-site position based in Milan.
