Senior Product Designer

Patricia Urquiola Studio is looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team in Milan, Italy. If you have a passion for crafting unique, high-end products and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

As part of our design team, you will be responsible for developing bespoke products that seamlessly integrate into our interior design projects. This means:

1. Concept Development: Translating design visions into innovative and feasible product ideas through sketches, 3D models, and presentations
2. 3D Modeling & Visualization: Using Rhino and Keyshot to develop detailed, production-ready 3D models and high-quality renderings
3. Material & Manufacturing Research: Selecting materials and production techniques that enhance both aesthetics and functionality
4. Prototyping & Testing: Collaborating with artisans, manufacturers, and suppliers to refine prototypes and troubleshoot design challenges
5. Production Support: Overseeing the transition from prototype to production, ensuring technical feasibility without compromising design intent

What We’re Looking For

1. 6+ years of experience in product design and development, ideally in furniture, lighting, and high-end bespoke interiors
2. Strong proficiency in Rhino, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite
3. A balance of creativity and technical knowledge, with a deep understanding of materials, production techniques, and finishing processes
4. A proactive and resourceful designer, skilled at identifying challenges early and proposing creative, technically sound solutions
5. Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside engineers, artisans, and suppliers to bring concepts to life
6. Fluent in English is required, while Italian is much appreciated
