Job Title: Senior Power Subsystem Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Power Subsystem Engineer to join Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), renowned for delivering high-tech space solutions for over 40 years. Our expertise spans telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration, science, and orbital infrastructures.
The main activities of the Power Subsystem Engineer include:
- Analyze system-level power requirements and derive lower-level requirements; prepare relevant specifications.
- Define the power system architecture based on received requirements.
- Establish power interfaces among components and with power users.
- Perform analysis on power sources (solar arrays, batteries, fuel cells, etc.) for sizing and performance evaluation.
- Define performance, interface, and test requirements for the power system and sources.
- Specify and review technical documentation such as subsystem/unit specifications, technical notes, analysis reports, and test specifications.
- Manage or participate in technical meetings with subcontractors and clients.
Educational Requirements: Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
Job Experience:
- Experience in power electronic systems or power unit design.
- Strong knowledge of energy production using solar panels.
- Capability in power analysis and circuit simulation.
- Proficiency with software tools such as Matlab/Simulink, MathCad, Visual Basic, Spice.
Languages:
- English (mandatory)
- French (optional)
Other Requirements:
- Availability for medium-duration business trips in Italy or abroad.
