Wonderflow Foundation in Italy is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help scale our data scraping infrastructure, from crawling to processing.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and own observability, with a focus on performance, reliability and fast iteration. Join a small Data Platform team building tools used by global customers and shaping the technical direction from day one.

Competenze

• Significant experience building and scaling web applications and data systems in production.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Track record of designing and owning complex systems end-to-end.
• Experience building APIs, monitoring systems, and operational tooling.
• Comfort with both full-stack development and infrastructure thinking.
• Track record of mentoring junior engineers and improving code quality through technical leadership.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed issues.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to the team.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our data scraping infrastructure, helping to maintain and extend the ecosystem that powers Wonderflow's global data collection — from searching and crawling to parsing and processing.

You will collaborate on solutions for performance-critical challenges like parallelism and scalability, build and maintain our monitoring and observability systems, and provide technical leadership to the team. You'll be a reference point for architectural decisions and a technical mentor your teammates can rely on.

You will also be involved in:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
