Your impact

Within our Piping Department in the Italy office, we are looking for a Senior Piping Coordinator. Main responsibilities include:

1. Ensure completion of project within the MHRs budget, schedule & quality targets;
2. Contribute to the development and growth of team members;
3. Contribute to the continual improvement of productivity and quality;
4. Prepare work instructions / procedures / guidelines;
5. Ensure 3D design compliance with modelling conventions, e.g., correct use of identified tools, application of correct LODs, and company best practices;
6. Coordinate 3D design work activities with in-house staff as well as other external entities;
7. Produce drawings / models or schedule extractions for submissions, if required;
8. Resolve daily modeling and systems coordination issues;
9. Represent the team / group in internal and external meetings, as needed;
10. Participate in and/or lead 3D model reviews for piping systems;
11. Possess deep knowledge of piping layout, pipe routing, support design, stress analysis, MTO, material requisitions, bid evaluation, and 3D design best practices in BIM systems;
12. Experience in leading piping teams for the execution of FEED and detail engineering projects;
13. Good knowledge of manpower planning, scheduling, and man-hours estimations;
14. Ability to analyze design changes and estimate the extra hours and impacts on the project schedule;
15. Develop and build external relations with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors, interfacing closely with other discipline functions to promote client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar educational background;
• Minimum 15 years of experience in piping within a well-structured organization;
• Management training, courses, or certifications;
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple activities, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian (at least B2);
• Innovative thinking for adding value and optimization;
• Leadership, presentation, troubleshooting skills, and logical reasoning;
• Practical field and revamp project experience;
• Willingness to travel for short periods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in piping systems for industrial plants, especially in chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries;
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Autodesk Plant 3D, and knowledge of ISO Quality Management procedures.
