Developing cutting-edge optical modules based on integrated photonics will be your duty while working in a diverse, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, simulate, and optimize photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and sensors for diverse applications across telecommunications, automotive, infrastructure, and avionics sectors.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop test plans and validate the performance of fabricated prototypes and products.
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and compile comprehensive technical reports on completed test activities.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to identify innovative solutions and improvement opportunities.
  • Support intellectual property development by preparing and submitting patent applications.

Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with optical test and measurement instruments, including Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Optical Power Meters, Tunable Lasers, and Polarization Controllers.
  • Solid understanding of optical characterization techniques.
  • Experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
  • Proficient in photonics design and simulation software such as Lumerical, RSoft, or VPIphotonics.
  • Knowledge of photonic component design, including waveguides, resonators, filters, and modulators.
  • Familiarity with the design and testing of optoelectronic devices, such as lasers and photodetectors.
