Your day at NTT DATA

You will be part of a competent and collaborative NTT team contributing to an important and strategic customer’s journey in IT. Based in Milan, the NTT team will collaborate with the customer’s IT team locally and internationally, focusing on Network and Network Security infrastructure. You will work primarily on environments involving Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, F5, Vmware Velocloud, and Riverbed technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leader in Network Managed Services and a multinational company in the eyewear and eye care industry, allowing you to evolve your skills.

What you'll be doing

As a Network Engineer L3, you will serve as a Senior Technical Specialist, handling consultancy and implementation of medium/high complexity projects and supporting the Network Operations team in resolving complex infrastructure issues.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing customer infrastructure, discussing project requirements, and executing design;
2. Defining and executing Proof of Concept (POC) with the customer;
3. Performing configurations and troubleshooting throughout project lifecycles;
4. Managing project governance;
5. Assisting in maintenance and change management activities;
6. Preparing High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation and technical presentations.

Minimum Requirements

• Educational background in IT;
• At least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in a medium-complexity environment;
• Cisco Certifications (CCNP) and additional vendor certifications (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VMware) are a plus;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to work in virtual and hybrid teams;
• Strong customer-oriented approach;
• Technical leadership skills;
• Ability to mentor junior team members;
• Proficiency in Italian and English (French is a plus);
• Willingness to travel abroad as required;
• Availability for on-duty scheduling.
