Job Description:

The role involves proactively and reactively managing network and security devices, responding to alarms from network management systems, and addressing incidents reported by customers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, analyzing incidents, testing and deploying software upgrades or security patches, and working as part of an international team of 35 engineers. The candidate should be autonomous, experienced, and passionate about security.

The working hours are during European business hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional stretching as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage design, implementation, and management of Cisco-based LAN, WAN, and Wireless environments.
• Coordinate with vendors, make technology recommendations, and lead installation and testing of network systems.
• Develop procedures and strategies for network infrastructure and service improvements.
• Monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot during outages.
• Guide and train peers on technical issues.
• Act on network incidents, test and upgrade devices, analyze capacity, and manage change requests.
• Participate in data center activities and interact with multiple teams.
• Advise on security improvements and communicate with third-party vendors.
• Propose technical and operational improvements for network management.
• Analyze reports, understand vendor solutions, and stay updated on product evolutions.

Skills:

• Minimum 5 years in networking, with experience in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto.
• Experience with ITIL processes, incident/change/problem management, and relevant certifications.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, SDWAN, Catalyst, Nexus, Aironet, ASA/Firepower, PRIME, ISE.
• Expertise in routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, VRRP.
• Proficiency with Wireshark and configuring secure networks with QoS.
• Strong documentation skills and experience with wireless site surveys and tuning.

Qualifications/Certifications:

• At least one of the following: CCNP or CCIE.
• CCIE Routing & Switching, CCNP R&S/Sec/Wireless, Fortinet NSE 6+, Palo Alto certifications.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages (Spanish/French) are a plus.
