Job summary

Mimica is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist to join our Data Intelligence team. You will own ML pipelines end-to-end, build evaluations, run experiments, and translate results into production improvements that power other teams.

This fully remote role requires strong Python skills, experience with LLMs in production, and the ability to work independently on ambiguous problems within a European/UK timezone framework.

Qualifications

• Solid machine learning/data science background with understanding of experiments, data splits, metrics, bias, and significance.
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs in production or near-production settings, including eval sets, judges and benchmarks.
• Comfortable with messy data, exploration, troubleshooting, and turning insights into measurable improvements.
• Strong Python and solid engineering habits; readable, tested code for production.
• Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems and define acceptance criteria.
• Clearspoken and written English, able to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own, debug, and improve production ML pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Design, build, and iterate on LLM evals and LLM-as-a-judge systems with datasets, metrics, and benchmarks.
• Run experiments on prompts, pipeline design, model choice, and inputs; translate results into recommendations.
• Drive LLM efficiency by comparing models, restructuring steps, and replacing calls with smaller models.
• Expand anonymization pipeline by evaluating and adapting existing models.
• Work with Python and quality engineers to take experiments into production and ship code.
