Our client is a Italian-based company established in the 2000s, that specializes in providing engineering, commissioning, validation, and quality assurance services, particularly within the Life Sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices. They are recognized for their commitment to innovation, quality, and technical excellence in metrology and process automation services.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

In the context of growth and expanding technical operations, they are seeking to incorporate a Senior Metrology & Automation Specialist, based in Milan. This person will report directly to the Head of Technical Operations and will be responsible for managing instrumentation calibration projects with a high level of autonomy and precision. The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, resilient, and proactive — capable of leading technical interventions and managing client relationships effectively. Experience in metrology, automation, and FAT/SAT processes is key.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Perform calibration, adjustment, and troubleshooting of a wide range of instrumentation.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure instruments function within specified tolerances.
• Independently manage field projects, including direct coordination with clients.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments when needed.
• Provide technical insight during FAT/SAT and project commissioning phases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• +5 years of experience in metrology and automation roles.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects independently.
• Solid hands-on experience with a variety of measurement and control instruments.
• Familiarity with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
• Strong stress management and time organization skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Milan.
• Professional proficiency in English; Italian is a strong plus.
