Job summary

Molex, part of the Koch family, seeks an Senior Principal Mechanical Project Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering team on advanced automation projects in Genova. You will drive technical leadership, define standards and ensure robust, manufacturable designs through V&V activities, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

You will mentor three engineers, manage complex design reviews, and push modularity and reuse across programs while aligning with project priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of mechanical design and project engineering for automated equipment.
• Experience in senior technical roles such as Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager.
• Willingness to travel across EMEA and globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and methodological leadership to the Mechanical Engineering team.
• Define and improve mechanical engineering standards and best practices.
• Contribute to design of complex high precision machines and assemblies.
• Lead design reviews, address risks and critical decisions.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability and verification requirements.
• Oversee design verification/validation before release.
• Coordinate with machine builders, suppliers and partners.
