Job summary

PeoItaly is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager for a large-scale Data Centre project in Bertonico, Lombardy. You will manage mechanical construction activities on site, coordinating subcontractors, reviewing drawings and submittals, and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have eight+ years in mechanical construction, strong HVAC/piping expertise, and experience delivering complex installations with multidisciplinary teams in international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• At least eight years of professional experience in mechanical construction with strong site management focus.
• Proven experience managing mechanical installations on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and building services.
• Experience with installation, testing, commissioning and handover processes.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and submittals.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency.
• Available to work full-time on site in Bertonico, Lodi.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all mechanical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead day-to-day mechanical site operations in coordination with the wider project team.
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors and monitor performance against the programme.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with PMs, planners, consultants and design teams.
• Review drawings, specs and submittals for compliance and buildability.
• Oversee installation of HVAC and piping systems.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specs and standards.
• Maintain QA/QC processes and project records.
• Attend and lead site meetings and handover meetings.
• Monitor interfaces with electrical and BIM teams.
• Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Support cost monitoring and variations discussions.
• Prepare progress reports for management.
• Manage snagging and close-out of mechanical items.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of systems.
• Promote strong safety culture on site.
