Strativ Group in Trieste, Italy, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of UAV systems. You will own complete mechanical subsystems from concepts and CAD design through prototyping and production, and you will collaborate closely with electronics and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Candidates should have 5+ years of UAV/mechanical design experience, strong 3D CAD skills, and familiarity with plastics, composites and low-volume manufacturing.

• Strong 3D CAD and system-level product design experience.
• Familiar with plastics, composites, machining, and low-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and own projects.
• Fluent in English; Italian not required.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – UAV Systems

Working model: Full-time, on-site

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing technology company developing advanced autonomous UAV systems.

You’ll take ownership of complete mechanical systems, working from early concepts and detailed CAD design through prototyping, testing and production.

Responsibilities

• Design complete mechanical systems for UAVs and supporting infrastructure.
• Integrate electronics, motors, sensors, antennas, payloads and cabling.
• Produce 3D models, technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Select suitable materials and manufacturing processes.
• Support prototyping, assembly, testing and design improvements.
• Work closely with electronics, software and production teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Background in UAVs, robotics, aerospace or compact electromechanical products.
• Strong 3D CAD and system-level product design experience.
• Knowledge of plastics, composites, machining and low-volume manufacturing.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Professional English; Italian is not essential.

Package

• Salary of approximately €40,000–€60,000, potentially higher for exceptional candidates.
• Relocation support may be available.
• Visa sponsorship can be considered for strong profiles.
