Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

At Schindler, we’re revolutionizing how people move within buildings. We’re looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our passionate team in Milan and help us create the next generation of elevators that set new standards for quality, safety, and innovation.

Your Role:

You’ll be at the heart of cutting-edge engineering, working with an international, cross-functional team to design and develop mechanical components for our state-of-the-art elevators. This is your chance to truly make an impact, with responsibilities including:

1. Designing and engineering world-class mechanical solutions for elevator components;
2. Creating detailed 3D models and drawings using CREO;
3. Managing engineering documentation and Bills of Materials in Windchill/SAP;
4. Performing key calculations (FEM) and validating technical solutions to ensure top-tier quality;
5. Collaborating with a talented team to continuously innovate and elevate Schindler products.

What You Bring to the Table:

We’re looking for a skilled, forward-thinking engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a passion for pushing the limits of mechanical design. Ideally, you have:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
2. Hands-on experience in mechanical design, with a focus on sheet metal (a plus!);
3. Strong proficiency with CREO for 3D modeling and design;
4. Familiarity with FEM analysis (bonus points for experience!);
5. A proactive mindset and a drive for results;
6. Fluency in English, German is a plus!
7. A customer-oriented approach and exceptional teamwork skills.
