Schindler Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen its RD Mechanical Engineering team in Milan. You will lead design and validation efforts for elevator mechanical components, from concept through release, while guiding junior engineers and ensuring quality, safety and cost targets are met.

The role requires strong CAD, Windchill and engineering documentation skills, plus the ability to collaborate across international teams and maintain manufacturability and serviceability

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development within industrial engineering environments.
• Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo for 3D modeling, assemblies and detailed engineering design.
• Strong experience with Windchill and engineering documentation/release processes.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, coordination of engineering activities and mentoring of less experienced engineers.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience performing engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively within international and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of self-motivation, accountability and result orientation.

Join Schindler as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our RD Mechanical Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert , responsible for the design, development and validation of mechanical solutions for elevator systems and components. You will drive engineering activities from concept through release, provide technical guidance to the team and ensure that solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, safety and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and support the growth of junior engineers through mentoring, knowledge sharing and technical coaching.

Your Responsibilities
