The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of experience in designing automatic process machines, strong skills in mechanical and pneumatical development, and proficiency with CAD tools. Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills are essential. Fluency in English is required; a second language is a plus. This full-time position contributes to innovative projects in the Central Industrial Engineering department.

Senior Mechanical Designer (m/f/d) – Rheinmetall

Location: Lanciano (CH). Department: Central Industrial Engineering (CIE).

What We Are Looking For

In a logic of continuous improvement, we are looking for a senior Mechanical Designer for Central Industrial Engineering (CIE) department in Lanciano (CH). Key responsibilities:

• Manage the engineering developments of the new mechanical automatic process machines, according to timeframes and objectives defined in the project;
• Coordinate the design and implementation of testing, to optimise new materials and current processes;
• Collaborate with the Research and Development Team;
• Prepare reports within the deadlines of the planned activities;
• Improve the time to market for ME design;
• Improve new technical solutions;
• Support and implement higher technological solutions with a transversal know-how.

Qualifications

• At least 8-10 years of experience in ME design of automatic process machines.
• A team player who demonstrates determination, energy and enthusiasm following an open, flexible and solution driven approach.
• Excellent Mechanical Design skills: Layout development and Automatic machine development
• Excellent Pneumatical Development skills
• Competence in business tools: MS Office, MS Projects, 2D CAD, 3D Solid Edge, FEM analysis
• Fluent in English is a must, second language is an advantage
• Educated to a technical diploma/degree.
