2025 marks the tenth season of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship… and we’re just getting started. We challenge the status quo and invite you to join us.

The first American Formula 1 team since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made a notable debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Now, nine years later, we continue to grow and aim for future success, coming off our second-best season to date.

We are a racing team, not just a corporate entity. With three headquarters in Kannapolis (US), Banbury (UK), and Maranello (Italy), we are driven by passionate and dedicated team members. General Summary :

This role reports to the Design Team Leader and is based in Maranello, Italy. It involves designing F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Foster teamwork and effective communication across departments.
  • Design of F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies.
  • Develop components through solid and surface modelling and 2D drawings to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Design scope includes suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, and cooling systems, as well as equipment for homologation and on-track management.
  • Manage the design mock-up activities within the design office.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations at all venues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader.

Education and Work Experience :

High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with at least 3 in motorsports or F1, is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge :

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong technical background in racing cars and composite materials.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and quick decision-making.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.

Tools and Applications :

  • Proficiency in CATIA and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of composites.
  • Understanding of complex shipping and maintenance regulations.

Work Environment and Physical Demands :

Must work effectively in a high-pressure environment, with occasional travel and flexible hours, including weekends. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and working around machinery and racing equipment. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
