AGAP2 Italia is seeking an experienced Senior Materials & Welding Engineer to join an international engineering team working on a complex offshore project in the Milan area.

The role requires a strong background in materials engineering and corrosion management, with fabrication oversight across pipelines, subsea structures and coatings. You will coordinate technical activities with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical or Corrosion Engineering.
• At least 12 years of relevant offshore/subsea or oil & gas industry experience.
• Proven experience with line pipe manufacturing, coating facilities and offshore field joint coating.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, including carbon steel, alloy steel, duplex and super duplex materials.
• Solid expertise in internal/external corrosion and cathodic protection.
• Experience with offshore coating and insulation systems such as FBE, 3LPE and polypropylene systems.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, HAZ control and NDT techniques.
• Strong QA/QC processes and technical documentation experience.

Mansioni

• Material selection strategies and technical specifications for pipelines, fittings, subsea structures, flanges and CRA materials.
• Define corrosion allowance, pressure and temperature class requirements and material compatibility.
• Develop and review internal and external corrosion protection strategies, including CP, coatings and inhibitors.
• Review corrosion assessments, CP calculations, anode systems and coating specs.
• Support welding engineering and fabrication activities, including WPS/PQR reviews and welder qualifications.
• Define and review pipeline coating and field joint protection systems, including testing and protection solutions.
• Contribute to pipeline integrity and technical assurance activities, including fracture toughness, sour service, fatigue, material traceability and failure investigations.
• Participate in technical reviews, audits and resolution of NCRs and quality-related issues.
• Manage technical interfaces with pipeline, structural, fabrication and installation teams.
• Support vendor qualification and manufacturing surveillance across mills, CRA suppliers, bending facilities and coating plants.
• Participate in FATs, mill testing and coating qualification activities.
• Monitor compliance with ITPs, QCPs, QA/QC requirements and technical documentation.
