Job summary

BD in Milan seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice to BD Italy, reporting to the EMEA Chief Legal Counsel and dotted to the Italy General Manager. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, contracts, and corporate governance within the MedTech business.

The candidate will coordinate with the EMEA Compliance team to implement BD Ethics programs regionally and manage corporate documentation and outside counsel where needed.

Qualifications

• Law degree required in Italy.
• 10+ years post-qualification experience in major law firms and/or international companies.
• Experience in MedTech is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to BD Italy business units, with dotted line to the Italy General Manager and reporting to the EMEA Chief Legal Counsel.
• Advise management on legal rights, obligations, contracts, regulatory, compliance, M&A, financings, negotiations and litigation management.
• Advise on local labour issues and negotiate with external parties in coordination with HR.
• Manage material and non-material litigation, and support data privacy agreements as needed.
• Draft and update contract templates; oversee corporate documentation for notaries, registries, and authorities.
