We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts to join our Legal Department.

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a fast-paced, international retail business, supporting a wide range of commercial operations.

  • Contract Management: draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including franchise and licensing agreements, sales, agency and distribution agreements, service and consultancy agreements, purchase and supply agreements, logistics, warehousing, and transportation agreements, IT, software licensing, SaaS, and digital service agreements, outsourcing, facility management, and utilities contracts.
  • Legal Advisory: provide clear, business-oriented advice to internal stakeholders, ensure compliance of contracts with applicable laws, company policies, and best practices, support management in strategic decisions relating to partnerships, procurement, and retail operations, advise on contract liabilities, and manage related litigation matters.
  • Cross-Functional Support: partner closely with departments including Sales, Procurement and Finance, contribute proactively to business discussions, understanding commercial drivers and aligning legal advice accordingly.
What We're Looking For
  • Law degree with excellent academic credentials and bar qualification is essential.
  • At least 6 years of post‑qualification experience gained at a primary law firm, with a solid focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Prior exposure to retail, consumer goods, or e‑commerce industries will be highly regarded.
  • Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Experience in retail, consumer goods, or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Additional knowledge of company law and extraordinary corporate operations is a plus.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
