Job Description

Position: Senior Legal Counsel
Date: 19/03/2025

We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team, part of our Legal Technical Contracts Division based in Milan.
By joining this role, you'll play a vital role in our company's effort to provide guidance on development projects at all stages, collaborating with other development lawyers across Europe.

Your role will encompass:

1. Coordinate and supervise legal assistance across a wide range of activities in the Renewables Business Unit, covering all stages from business development, origination, permitting, M&A, corporate transactions, PPA, project financing, construction, operation, maintenance, and procurement across Eastern Europe.
2. Draft, review, and assess contracts and other relevant documents while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
3. Support and collaborate with the Head of Legal EE to organize and structure the workload and tasks within the legal team.
4. Manage and mentor junior team members, filtering their outputs to the Head of Legal and relevant internal/external stakeholders.
5. Ensure deadlines set by the M&A central function are met efficiently.
6. Coordinate and oversee the legal aspects of business development, ensuring timely and accurate legal support.
7. Implement and follow all processes and procedures for contract approvals and signing, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

What you bring to the role:

1. Lawyer qualified in Italy with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the solar/renewable energy sector, or with law firms specializing in this field.
2. In-depth knowledge of renewable energy development, acquisitions, disposals, EPC, OM contracts, and PPAs in Italy and other European markets.
3. Membership in a relevant professional body.
4. Strong ability to provide high-level, responsive legal advice to the Italian and East European Business Development teams.
5. Proven experience in coordinating and mentoring legal teams, ensuring efficient distribution of work and meeting deadlines.
6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to structure workloads to maximize team efficiency and performance.
7. A track record of delivering flawless legal products and supporting internal stakeholders in achieving desired results.
