THE MISSION

We are looking for a motivated Senior Key Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our merchant partners in Italy in the E-commerce industry. The Sr. Key Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned merchant partners, actively seeking new sales and business opportunities with existing partners. Additionally, the Senior Key Account Manager will be responsible for collecting, analysing, preparing and reporting key data points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retain and grow your portfolio by leading sales calls, business reviews, negotiations and recurring check-ins;
  • Provide consultancy to our merchants on how to optimise revenue and marketing, leveraging your know-how and our paid premium products and services such as Affiliation and Media Packages;
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team on the Go-Live of large Enterprise, time-to-market and negotiating the best setting with the merchant;
  • Optimise integration making us the most appealing option, and grow the collaboration to achieve maximum penetration with all your assigned portfolio;
  • Manage co-marketing activities with your merchants to attract the Scalapay’s customer audience, collaborating with our Marketing team;
  • Use data analysis to spot business opportunities and presenting custom sales presentations with relevant findings and research;
  • Create case studies and best practices regularly, and share them internally and externally with the goal of scaling your account management activities and improve our sales conversion;
  • Test new approaches to increase revenue and provide weekly forecast to your manager: increase revenue will be your main goal;
  • Be an advocate for your merchants with internal stakeholders with the goal of improving our business model, integrations, products and services;
  • Support your team and the overall strategy to continue positioning Scalapay as the pioneer in Buy Now, Pay Later;
  • Meet your merchants face-to-face regularly via market visit, fairs, event and other activities;
  • Keep up to date with everything cool that's happening in the industry; think of yourself as the expert for innovation in the industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen;
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills;
  • Proven ability to grow partnerships;
  • Proven experience in upselling and cross selling to maximise client portfolios;
  • Attitude to work following a structured Sales Process measured by clear Leading Indicators and KPIs;
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive, organised and data-driven profile;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent multiple projects and execute on tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Italian and English is a must;
  • 5+ years experience in account management and/or business consultant, preferably in the e-commerce industry;
  • Must be willing to travel to merchant locations up to 30% of the time.
