At Talan, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer.

The role is part of a broader Trade Finance Academy program for our biggest Spanish banking client. You will contribute to a high-impact project and support and mentor junior developers, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on coding and team development.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in Málaga, Spain. Relocation is mandatory. Talan offers full assistance with work permits if you're located elsewhere.

As a senior developer, you will be proactive, interpreting requirements and translating them into processes or parameters to generate technical components for integrated solutions.

Job Responsibilities / Role

1. Requirements analysis.
2. Development, testing, and support tasks.
3. Learn and study technical GTB Trade solutions and related work lines to improve your knowledge.
4. Collaborate proactively with the internal team, focusing on teamwork.
5. Work effectively in an international environment using English as the main language.

Qualifications:

Main Skills Required (more than 5 years of experience in similar roles):

• Technical skills in relational databases and Java: Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud Stream.
• Public Cloud experience (preferably AWS).
• Basic knowledge of GTB products (supply chain finance, distribution, payments, accounting, regulatory reporting, capital risk).

Languages:

• Fluent English (C1 level).
• Spanish knowledge is desirable.

Other Skills:

• Experience in GTB projects or banking/financial industry.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Sonar.
• Familiarity with UNIX, BI tools, and Control-M.
• Knowledge of Reactive Programming.
