Introduction:

The Interior Designer and BIM Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping projects at Omnam Design Studio, the in-house design studio of Omnam Group, a prominent developer in the hospitality field. They will be responsible for creating innovative interior design concepts and translating them into detailed, technically accurate BIM models. This role includes the development of layouts, material specifications, and high-quality visualisations, while ensuring seamless coordination with architectural and engineering teams. By integrating BIM technology, the position ensures precise documentation, efficient project workflows, and the delivery of functional, aesthetically compelling interior spaces. This is a full-time office-based position, working from Rome, Italy.

Key Responsibilities and Roles

General Responsibilities:

• Working under the Director of Design and Engineering and as a senior team member of the design studio.
• Integration of the owner's vision into all design projects, sharing creative ideas and professional experience.
• Participating in all relevant design meetings to maintain complete control and thorough understanding of project progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and engineers, to achieve project goals.
• Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and Omnam Group’s quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Omnam Design Studio’s processes and design methodologies.

Interior Design and BIM Specialist Responsibilities

• Participating in all Design Phases, from Concept to Detail Design, through innovative interior design solutions for ODS.
• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting that align with the project vision.
• Present design proposals through sketches, mood boards, and visual presentations.
• Create and manage detailed 2D CAD or 3D BIM models for interior spaces, incorporating layouts, finishes, and fixtures within the Revit model.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM models meet technical standards and project requirements and are aligned with our project’s BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Generate comprehensive 2D CAD plans, sections, and elevations or directly from the BIM model that effectively communicate the project’s design intent and facilitate approval processes.
• Generate high-quality visuals, animations, or walkthroughs to illustrate design concepts through tools like Enscape.
• Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior designs with other project disciplines.
• Use BIM tools for clash detection and resolution to ensure seamless coordination.
• Conduct regular market research to identify new trends and design ideas, helping Omnam Group maintain its innovative edge in the field.

Project Timeline and Schedule: The exact timeline will depend on specific projects. The Senior Interior Designer and BIM Specialist should be prepared to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

Resources: The role includes access to design teams, consultants, market research tools, and travel allowances for project-related travel.

Standards and Procedures: The candidate will follow Omnam Group’s standards, including design integrity, operator selection, and brand development protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in interior design studios.
• Experience working in F&B and hospitality sectors with top operators such as Marriott, Four Seasons, etc.
• Proficiency in BIM software like Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong experience with rendering tools like Enscape, V-Ray, or Lumion.
• Deep knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction processes, especially in luxury hospitality.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• A valid work visa is mandatory for all candidates.
