Company Description

SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962, offering services related to pipeline installation and ancillary facilities for oil, gas, and water transmission and distribution on an international basis.

Position Responsibilities

• Adhere to HSE requirements stipulated by Company/Clients.
• Assist in Instrumentation Engineering activities on projects and tenders under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate internal and external resources.
• Ensure the safe, effective, and successful implementation of process engineering activities within budget and schedule.
• Maintain good knowledge of process measurements, Relief/control/ESD valves, analyzers, equipment, protection systems (vibration/temperature), fire systems, and PLCs.
• Support P&ID development and maintain P&IDs throughout project phases.
• Coordinate with process engineers to obtain process data for instrument specification.
• Handle instrumentation and control activities for mechanical packages like dehydration, sweetening, produced water, chemical injection, etc.
• Manage control system packages independently.
• Review and prepare E&I specifications, datasheets, calculations, load lists, schematics, functional and interlock diagrams.
• Review and prepare material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor drawings.
• Participate in Hazop, SIL, and design reviews.
• Review and prepare materials take-offs and bills of materials.
• Document changes with approval from the Project Engineering Manager.
• Review 2D drawings such as hook-up, loop, block, JB, area classification, cable schedule, drum schedule, routing, instrument location, F&G layouts, and control room drawings per client specifications.
• Identify risks and opportunities.
• Establish good working relationships.
• Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for engineering activities.
• Undertake any other duties as requested.

Requirements

- Minimum technical diploma in engineering with 8-10 years of design experience in industrial plants, preferably with an EPC or consultancy.

- Proficiency in 2D & 3D drawings, AutoCAD or equivalent.

- Multi-discipline experience required.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English.
