Thales Alenia Space in Lombardy, Italy, is seeking a Software Real Time & Embedded Engineer for a permanent role. You will design, implement and test high‑quality embedded software across real‑time platforms, balancing hardware interaction and software features in a challenging environment.

You will work in an agile DevOps team, collaborate across disciplines, and apply security best practices. A Master in engineering and 6–11 years’ experience are expected, with opportunities to grow

Qualificações

• Master of Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in DevOps/Agile/Scrum environments with real-time challenges.
• Work in a real-time environment balancing low-level hardware with high-level functionality.
• Experience on devices for Radar, embedded equipment and Wearables in telecom/IOT contexts.
• Embedded OS software development across Linux, VxWorks, FastOS Linux.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and other languages (VB, .NET, ADA, Assembly).
• Familiar with tools and instruments for measuring and performance.
• Development/adaptation of simulation tools for integration/testing on platform.
• Embedded system and application design with DDS/ARINC interfaces.
• Knowledge of data processing, statistics, data technologies, and customer needs.
• Experience with cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
• Experience with automated deployment and related tech (Docker, Helm, YAML, Ansible).
• Familiar with JIRA and Confluence.

• Apply coding best practices to produce high quality, reusable code.
• Implement and follow security best practices for web applications.
• Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge and improve products.
• Keep up-to-date with latest technology evolution and frameworks.
• Interact with UX teams to verify user experience concepts.
• Follow agile methodology with user stories and tasks for robust systems.
• Archive source code into repositories and participate in deployments.
