Job summary

Thales Alenia Space in Italy’s Lombardy region is seeking a Master level Software Real Time & Embedded Engineer to design, implement and test features with scalability and performance in mind. You will work in a DevOps/Agile environment close to hardware, ensuring high-level functionality is preserved.

You will develop on embedded OS platforms (Linux, VxWorks, FastOS) using C/C++, ADA, assembly and other languages, integrate tools, and apply security best practices while collaborating with UX,

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in DevOps/Agile/Scrum in real-time embedded environments.
• Experience with low-level hardware interactions while maintaining high-level functionality.
• Willingness to work on devices such as Radar, embedded equipment, Wearables for Telecom and IoT.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test features with scalability, performance, deployment or operation in mind.
• Apply coding best practices to produce high quality, reusable code.
• Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge and improve the product.
• Follow agile methodology and create user stories and tasks for robust systems.
