Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Concordia sulla Secchia, Modena, Italy. You will design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software and firmware for GNSS receiver products used in construction, geomatics, and agriculture technologies worldwide.

You will work with C/C++, embedded Linux, and real-time systems, modernizing legacy code and ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability across hardware targets.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.
• Strong C/C++ and modern C++ standards; embedding Linux experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for GNSS receiver products.
• Develop reliable C/C++ code including embedded Linux services, networking, and hardware interfaces.
• Modernize legacy code into modular, maintainable architectures and optimize performance.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and engineering process improvements.
