Key job responsibilities
* Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
* Worldwide business partnering within the Amazon group, liaising with Tax and Legal departments
* Integration of new regions into the existing processes
* Responsibility for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
* Assessment and evaluation of GAAP to GAAP differences
* Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows and the implementation of best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
* Strong knowledge in US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP
* Experience in Accounting and financial reporting
* Operational Accounting experience
* Excellent communication skills with fluent English
* Proficient Microsoft Excel User
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
* Entrepreneurial, hands on, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box
