Key job responsibilities

  • Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
  • Worldwide business partnering within the Amazon group, liaising with Tax and Legal departments
  • Integration of new regions into the existing processes
  • Responsibility for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
  • Assessment and evaluation of GAAP to GAAP differences
  • Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows and the implementation of best practices - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge in US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP
  • Experience in Accounting and financial reporting
  • Operational Accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel User - Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating / implementing an escalation plan
  • Entrepreneurial, hands on, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box
