A multinational entertainment company is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst in Milan. The role involves financial planning, reporting, and analysis for Disney's streaming services. The candidate will collaborate with various teams, provide financial expertise, and handle budgeting and forecasting. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Finance or Economics, fluent English, and preferably Italian skills.

About the Role & Team

As our Senior Finance Analyst you’ll focus on the financial planning, reporting and analysis of Disney Entertainment Italy with a focus on our streaming service Disney+. You’ll work in close partnership with the respective department leads in delivering on our financial commitments, supporting them with ad-hoc as well as strategic considerations. From financial modelling to financial analysis and planning – in this role you’ll cover the whole financial cycle and act as a business partner to various teams.

You’ll play an active role contributing to the Italian finance team through providing financial expertise and guidance to various commercial teams. This role will report to the Finance Director.

This role is a fixed term contract parental leave cover based in our Milan office and requires you to be onsite 4 days a week with 1 day working from home.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare detailed budget, forecast, and actual divisional reports in collaboration with business partners, aligned with regional and local guidance.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (e.g. budgets, forecasts, income statements) against company financial goals.
  • Track and determine financial status by comparing actual results to forecasts for both revenue and costs.
  • Track and provide cause of changes narrative for financial variance (actual vs plan, plan vs forecast etc).
  • Extract budget and forecast data from corporate systems and generate reports for management to track targets.
  • Prepare budget and forecast presentations.
  • Analyse actuals and recommend accounting adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of all information across financial planning and analysis, including pricing and trend analysis, and evaluation of risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously improve efficiency by updating, revising, and creating financial models, templates, and reporting tools to analyze revenue and expenses and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Support business teams with P&L related matters.
  • Handle invoicing and purchase order requests.
  • Track Ad Sales revenue and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits for Local Original Production.
  • Deliver revenue and cost analysis to support business trajectory insights.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • BSc or MSc in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst, ideally in an international environment.
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting.
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
  • Proven attention to detail, resilience and flexibility, and positive attitude to change.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Italian language skills strong preference
