Insolight is an innovative company based in Renens (CH) building agrivoltaic installations, combining agricultural protection with solar energy. We have a technological background, offering hardware solutions for various crops and a proprietary software toolbox for agronomic performance monitoring and optimization.

We are expanding our projects across Europe, with a commercial pipeline of over 1,000 hectares / 500 MWp / CHF 500 million, including 180 MWp under development in France, Italy, and Switzerland. Our team is passionate about creating solutions that impact both energy and agriculture, contributing to multiple Sustainable Development Goals.

The company has shifted from technology development to project deployment and infrastructure in several regions. To support this scale-up, we are strengthening our finance team. We are seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist to join us, reporting to the CFO.

Role and Key Responsibilities

Accounting Activities

• Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, cash management) in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant.
• Lead quarterly closing activities for the Swiss entity, including profit & loss statements, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
• Supervise the work of fiduciaries in France and Italy.
• Prepare quarterly consolidations of Insolight’s entities.
• Generate financial reports for shareholders.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Monitor actual costs versus budget and forecasts.

Human Resources

• Manage HR contracts, payroll, and social insurances for the Swiss entity.
• Administer employee stock option plans.
• Handle VAT, tax returns, and other tax compliance activities for Switzerland.
• Oversee VAT returns in France and Italy.

Systems and Processes

• Maintain documentation of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Continuously improve tools and processes, especially within our ERP system (Microsoft Business Central).

Candidate Profile

• Experienced finance professional with 5-8 years of experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Accounting certification such as Swiss Brevet fédéral or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Swiss accounting principles.
• Proficiency in French and English.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar systems.
• Genuine interest in sustainability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills

• Experience or knowledge in agrivoltaics.
• Fluency in German and/or Italian.
• Knowledge of additional accounting GAAP is a plus.
