Field Application Engineer/After-sales Engineer

Role:

The Field Application Engineer/After-sales engineer is responsible for providing technical support through onsite activities and remote collaboration with customers or third-party service partners to resolve issues with BESS devices. The role involves coordination with the EU team and HQ to deliver efficient and satisfactory service to our customers in the EU.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management and technical skills in Field Operations:
  2. Oversee technical supervision and physical work in all field activities, including commissioning, scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
  3. Focus on resolving after-sales cases to minimize downtime and optimize fault resolution times by maintaining good relationships with customers and sharing collected information with relevant teams.
  4. Supervise and evaluate product performance by analyzing BESS device operational data in collaboration with the monitoring team, working closely with HQ and the EU Technical Team.
  5. Identify technical solutions in collaboration with HQ for swift resolution of technical issues.

Complementary activities:

  • Participate as a technician in commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance activities onsite.
  • Assist the help desk team with phone support and ticket management.

Skill requirements:

  • Electrical certification compliant with local laws.
  • Proficiency in basic electrical tools operation, such as multimeters and torque wrenches.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams or relevant technical background.
  • At least 2 years of onsite experience, including BESS commissioning, electrical device installation, wiring, and commissioning.
  • Proficient in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) and able to produce formal manuals in English.
  • HSE and PPE Management:
  • Identify risk mitigation strategies and approve operational procedures under the guidance of the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Spare Parts and Resource Management:
  • Manage spare parts lists, address obsolescence, and coordinate with EU/HQ technical teams on component compatibility.
  • Ensure local teams and service partners have necessary resources and spare parts for continuous operation.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including receipt, consumption recording, delivery, and replenishment planning.
  • Coordinate with Technical and Training teams to align field operations with service quality standards.
  • Work with local service teams and partners to facilitate technical interventions and repairs.
  • Coordinate with EU/HQ technical teams regarding technical compatibility, replacement parts, and troubleshooting.
