We're looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer for the central region of Italy to help us elevate our company to the next level. We seek a candidate who is tenacious and results-oriented. You should be hard-working, motivated to make a significant impact, and persistent until the job is completed. A mindset of initiative and growth is essential, along with a tendency to come up with innovative ways to achieve goals. Additionally, you should be proactive in analyzing the market to implement new ideas and opportunities.

As an expert in your field, you will ensure customer satisfaction with all Sysmex products and solutions within your assigned geographic area, being a member of the regional technical service team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure uptime of the instrument installed base in your assigned area
  • Build professional relationships with end-users and laboratory stakeholders
  • Perform troubleshooting both in person and remotely
  • Execute reactive and proactive service activities at customer sites and remotely
In this role, you will:
  • Provide added value
  • Act as an expert and second-level support in the field for your business line
  • Support the development of colleagues through on-the-job training
  • Serve as the preferred point of contact for 3rd level support from the EMEA support team
  • Perform pre-installation visits and planning meetings with customers
  • Carry out pre-installation at the Sysmex workshop and installations at customer sites
  • Provide basic technical and maintenance training to end-users
  • Carry out repair actions and maintenance visits according to Sysmex procedures
  • Plan proactive activities and regular visits to key customers
  • Report on field activities and instrument status
  • Keep lab directors informed about service deliverables and instrument status
  • Organize regular meetings with key end-users to highlight the value of the service
  • Ensure all customer-related records are up-to-date
  • Accurately record service activities in the Sysmex CRM
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout all post-sales phases
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on new tenders and business opportunities to design tailored solutions for customer needs
Job Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent in engineering
  • Advanced certification in electronics and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Technical knowledge of electronic equipment (preferably IVD)
  • Proficiency with PC tools and software applications
  • Languages: fluent in English and Italian
Professional Experience:
  • Over 10 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the medical device industry
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under stress
  • Effective communication skills with end-users
  • Experience with hematology, urinalysis, and hemostasis instruments is a plus
