General Description :

The Field Market Access Manager / Senior Manager Italy will be responsible for ensuring and optimizing access to BeiGene’s pipeline at a regional level. This includes building strategic relationships and engaging with regional payers, payer organizations, and their influencers.

This role is field-based, requiring extensive market access experience. The individual will develop projects, control budgets, and present value evidence tools to payers and decision-makers at the regional level. The activity aims to create a favorable environment for our products through effective communication with payers at regional and local levels, aligned with the local country business strategies.

Location: Lombardy, covering Lombardy-Piedmont, Liguria, Valle D’Aosta, and Sardinia regions. Residence in Lombardy is preferred.

Essential Functions of the job :
  1. Define and implement market access strategies to ensure access of BeiGene’s products at regional and hospital levels by demonstrating their therapeutic, economic, and societal value, leveraging deep knowledge of the regional environment.
  2. Manage and maintain institutional relationships with Regional Health Administration decision-makers, evaluators, influencers, and hospital management, medical directions, and pharmacy departments that impact pharmaceutical policy and product positioning.
  3. Introduce BeiGene’s products at regional and hospital levels.
  4. Lead negotiations at central and hospital levels for tenders, negotiated procedures, and offers with purchasing centers and regional framework agreements.
  5. Provide guidance on developing and customizing pharmacoeconomic data, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact models tailored to stakeholder needs.
  6. Establish relationships with key stakeholders such as Regional Health Authorities, Medical Societies, Scientific Institutions, Payers, and Patient Advocacy groups.
  7. Communicate relevant changes and trends in local health policies and competitive activities to the cross-functional team.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and codes of conduct.
Qualifications
  1. At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, engaging with Regional Health Administrations and local organizations.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the national and regional health systems.
  3. Proven leadership in managing relationships with key stakeholders within health organizations.
  4. Strong scientific knowledge to support and communicate the clinical value of therapeutic areas.
  5. Successful experience in launching drugs in regional and hospital markets.
  6. Experience negotiating drug pricing and reimbursement with public health authorities.
  7. Strategic thinking and a holistic approach.
  8. Excellent persuasive communication and presentation skills.
  9. Languages: Native Italian and proficient in English.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Master’s in Science or Business.

Computer Skills

Standard computer skills required.

Travel

Approximately 75% of the time.
