Job summary

Durr Systems Italy S.p.A., a proud member of the Dürr Group, seeks an experienced Manager Estimations & Proposals to lead our team for automotive final assembly projects in Italy. You will own cost estimation, prepare structured proposals and drive continuous improvement of methods and tools across mechanical, electrical and control scopes.

The role interfaces with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Controlling to ensure accurate, competitive and traceable cost data and timely

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Engineering or comparable technical background.
• Several years of experience in estimation, proposal management, project engineering or technical sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the estimation and proposals team.
• Lead and coordinate the full cost-estimation process for assigned customer projects, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Prepare and validate cost breakdowns including equipment, materials, labor, engineering, controls, logistics and supplier scopes.
• Coordinate estimation inputs from mechanical, electrical, controls, engineering, purchasing and external suppliers.
• Challenge technical concepts and cost assumptions to identify optimization potential and improve competitiveness.
• Support Sales and Key Account Management during RFQ phases and internal approvals.
• Prepare structured proposal documentation with traceability of assumptions and costs.
• Define bid packages for mechanical and controls portions to share with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to validate supplier cost assumptions and pricing.
• Perform variance analysis between estimated and actual costs and document lessons learned.
• Maintain and improve estimation tools, databases and templates.
• Drive continuous improvement of estimation processes for AGV, conveyors and final assembly technologies.
