Job summary

Durr Systems Italy S.p.A. is seeking an experienced Manager Estimations & Proposals to lead the estimation and proposals team for complex automotive final assembly projects.

You will coordinate cost estimation across mechanical, electrical, and controls scopes, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and traceability. The role interfaces with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Controlling to continuously improve estimation methods, tools, and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimation and proposal management within automation or automotive sectors.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage RFQ processes.
• Strong analytical skills to challenge cost assumptions and optimize pricing.
• Excellent communication and time-management under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the estimation and proposals team.
• Manage full cost-estimation process for customer projects.
• Prepare and validate cost breakdowns across equipment, materials, labor, and services.
• Coordinate inputs from mechanical, electrical, controls, and purchasing.
• Develop structured proposal documentation with traceability.
• Drive standardization of estimation tools and templates.
• Support Sales during RFQ phases and negotiations.
• Review variance between estimated and actual costs.
