Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Engineer II to advance Chromium-based security and AI protection. You will work on browser internals, AI security controls, and cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.

You’ll implement detection for Prompt Injection, Shadow AI, and integrate MCP servers with AI agent workflows, contributing across product, security, and engineering teams.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong C++ systems programming.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP security and web protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Chromium internals or large-scale high-performance C++ systems is valuable.
• Interest or experience in AI and LLM security, including Prompt Injection defense and Shadow AI detection.
• Familiarity with Python or Rust is an advantage.
• Experience building or integrating AI agents, CDP, or MCP servers is desirable.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux is a plus.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain Chromium-based browser components in C++ across content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, and networking.
• Build browser-level controls to detect Prompt Injection and manage Shadow AI activity.
• Apply networking and HTTP security to strengthen browser isolation and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with AI and agent teams to integrate AI agent capabilities and MCP servers.
• Develop tools, detection microservices, and prototypes using Python or Rust.
• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP using Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Debug, optimize, and maintain performance-critical systems across browser and backend.
• Work with product, security, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and reviews with quality and security.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engineer II, Chromium based in Italy.

Join a forward-thinking engineering team working at the intersection of browser technology, systems architecture, and AI security. In this role, you’ll help build and strengthen Chromium-based capabilities that protect enterprise users and AI agents from emerging cyber threats. You’ll work on advanced browser internals, AI security controls, and high-performance cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will help address challenges such as Prompt Injection and unauthorized Shadow AI usage. Collaborating with specialists across browser, AI, and security engineering, you’ll deliver scalable, resilient, and evasion-resistant security solutions. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Chromium-based browser components in C++, working across layers such as content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, and networking.

• Build and integrate browser-level controls to detect Prompt Injection and manage Shadow AI activity across browser and AI agent workflows.

• Apply networking expertise and HTTP security principles to strengthen browser isolation, proxy and gateway interception, and network-facing infrastructure.

• Collaborate with AI and agent engineering teams to integrate AI agent capabilities and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers into security solutions.

• Develop supporting tools, detection microservices, and prototypes using Python or Rust.

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, using Kubernetes and Terraform to support reliable AI agent, MCP, and threat-detection workloads.

• Debug, optimize, and maintain performance-critical systems across browser and backend infrastructure.

• Work closely with product, security, and AI engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and code review while maintaining high standards of quality and security.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with strong C++ systems programming skills.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP security, web protocols, and/or client-side security architecture.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Chromium internals, including content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, or networking layers, is preferred. Equivalent experience with large-scale, high-performance C++ systems is also valuable.

• Experience or a strong interest in AI and LLM security, including Prompt Injection defense, Shadow AI detection, intent classification, context-aware DLP/PII detection, and agentic workflows.

• Familiarity with Python or Rust is an advantage.

• Experience building or integrating AI agents, Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), or MCP servers is desirable.

• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux is considered a plus.

• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering disciplines.
