Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and lead technical aspects related to fire risk, overseeing all phases from design to execution.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Supervise interdisciplinary teams, providing review and guidance on project deliverables.
  • Ensure projects meet financial targets, develop relationships with key clients, and deliver fire safety engineering solutions.
  • Drive technical excellence, team engagement, and client development within the discipline.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading discussions with design teams, building control, and fire services.
  • Participate in industry conferences to network and stay updated on trends and best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate engineers.
  • Apply national and international legislation and standards related to Fire and Life Safety.
  • Conduct project reviews, provide codes consultancy, and perform field inspections and testing in Europe.
  • Promote fire safety science and apply risk analysis models.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Background in fire engineering, preferably within a consultancy, with focus on fire protection systems design.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical).
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects.
  • Experience mentoring and managing junior professionals.
  • Fluency in Italian (written and spoken) is preferred; excellent English skills are desired.
  • Willingness to undertake frequent national and European travel (2-3 days every 1-2 weeks).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AUTOCAD/BIM.
  • Passion for scientific subjects.
  • Registration with the Ministry of the Interior (Law 818/84) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proactive, autonomous, empathetic, and customer-oriented personality.
