Job Description:

MECTRON SPA, a leading designer and manufacturer of medical and dental equipment, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Hardware (HW) and Firmware (FW) Developer.

The candidate will report to the team leader, project manager, and department manager, with responsibilities to advance existing technology, introduce new technology, and implement best working practices.

The role includes:

1. Research, design development, and testing of electrical components and complex systems for commercial and internal use.
2. Firmware development and testing: analyzing requirements and devising solutions.
3. Design analysis of complex firmware/software sections.
4. Estimating effort and supporting less experienced team members.
5. Technical documentation and analysis.
6. Verification of work by junior colleagues.
7. Project management within their technical area.

Requirements:

• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Firmware development in C/C++ for PIC, ARM, and ESP32.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Optional familiarity with LabVIEW and Simulink.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Experience with project planning and team management using Microsoft Project.
• Ability to draft technical documents.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Preferably experience in medical or automotive sectors with relevant regulatory knowledge.

Educational Requirements:

• Secondary education with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Baccalaureate degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.

Salary Package:

Open-ended contract with fixed plus variable remuneration.
