Your impact

Within our Electrical Department in the Italy office, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Key duties of the role include:

  1. Power and lighting electrical systems, earthing, lightning, etc., design
  2. Life safety and security systems design
  3. Coordinate assigned projects locally and with other Jacobs Offices
  4. Knowledge of local and international technical codes
  5. Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)
  6. Perform studies and execute project design activities
  7. Accountability for electrical project schedule, progress reports, cost estimates, and change management process
  8. Supervise Juniors & Intermediate electrical engineers and designers; interface with design group to monitor and control project schedule, electrical hours, and electrical cost
  9. Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout the project; review design for logic and functionality
  10. Perform design of plant distribution system including protection scheme
  11. Develop detailed electrical specifications for the project
  12. Define and develop the work share scope of work and execute effectively as per project requirements
  13. Perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems

Here's what you'll need

  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in specifications, engineering, design, construction, and start-up with EPC/EPCM consulting firms
  3. Experience in Pharmaceutical, Industrial, and Buildings business would be an asset
  4. Experience in high, medium, and low voltage design and equipment would be an asset
  5. Responsibilities as a Lead Engineer on medium-sized projects or Area Lead on large-sized projects with technical support and leadership; promote workshare execution with other Jacobs Offices
  6. Knowledge of local and international technical codes
  7. Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)
  8. Availability for business trips
