Job summary

The Senior Capacity Development Officer (E-Learning and Agricultural Information) at FAO in Rome will lead the e-learning Academy, oversee capacity development activities, and foster partnerships with UN agencies, donors and academic institutions. The role focuses on multilingual e-learning for agriculture and information management across FAO units.

Reporting to PSU leadership, the incumbent will advance learning technologies, monitor outcomes, and contribute to FAO's strategic framework in

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in related field.
• Ten years of relevant experience in capacity development, including e-learning.
• Knowledge of English and another FAO official language.

Responsibilities

• Leads the FAO e-learning Academy team for design, development, and delivery of specialized self-paced courses.
• Undertakes outreach with academic and research institutions to create, curate and deliver learning programmes.
• Leads on the delivery of webinars, online learning events, and blended learning programmes.
• Manages and expands the portfolio of e-learning and information systems, coordinating with FAO units and external partners.
