Job summary

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome invites applications for the role of Senior Capacity Development Officer (E-Learning and Agricultural Information). You will lead FAO's e-learning Academy, develop capacity-building programs, and collaborate with FAO units, DOs and external partners to deliver innovative learning solutions.

Reporting lines go to the Deputy Director within PSU, with focused work on multilingual e-learning, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in education, information technology, or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in capacity development, including e-learning.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of another FAO official language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Leads the FAO e-learning Academy team for design, development and delivery of self-paced courses.
• Undertakes outreach with academic and research institutions to create and deliver learning programmes.
• Leads delivery of webinars, online learning events, and blended learning programmes.
• Provides guidance for knowledge systems and learning technologies across FAO units.
