Job summary

embecta is seeking a Sr. Director, IT-R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory to own strategy and delivery for MES, SAP Manufacturing, GxP validation, quality systems, and regulatory technology globally.

This leader will oversee six plant sites across Americas, EMEA and APAC, drive Run Reliably uptime, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with R&D and business teams to align enterprise technology with manufacturing and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT leadership with MES, GxP, and plant IT in regulated manufacturing.
• Global plant IT leadership across multiple regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
• Experience managing MES vendor-managed services and SLA.
• Knowledge of FDA QSR/GxP and data residency for international ops.
• Experience partnering with OT/cybersecurity teams on plant security.
• Based in the EU with regular global travel; Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own MES strategy and delivery across all 6 plant sites and the vendor-managed service.
• Own SAP Manufacturing functional areas (Production Planning, Quality Management).
• Own GxP validation and compliance systems (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Own quality systems supporting manufacturing and compliance.
• Own R&D tech roadmap and regulatory tech roadmap as scope matures.
• Ensure data quality and integration across plant, quality, and regulatory platforms.
