GRS Recruitment is working in close partnership with a highly reputable and globally recognised technology-driven company within the online trading sector, which is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing team in Nicosia. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic international environment where innovation, scalability, and security are at the forefront.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Architect, manage, and optimise Kubernetes clusters (e.g., GKE, EKS) for scalable application deployment.
2. Strengthening infrastructure security in line with industry’s best practices and threat mitigation strategies.
3. Design and maintain complex, multi-environment cloud networking solutions.
4. Automate operational processes through programming and scripting to enhance system efficiency.
5. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
6. Proactively monitor infrastructure health and performance, resolving issues to maintain high availability.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a senior DevOps or related infrastructure role.
3. Strong proficiency in cloud services, particularly AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
4. Solid understanding of Linux systems and advanced scripting (e.g., Bash).
5. In-depth experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies.
6. Competency in one or more scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go).
7. Practical knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
8. Analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
