My client is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to lead the advancement of Photovoltaic (PV), Onshore Wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across key regions in Italy. With a rapidly growing pipeline of over 3 GW of renewable energy projects across Europe, they are at the forefront of the clean energy transition. The company has recently expanded through strategic partnerships in Spain and Italy, and is backed by a leading private equity firm

Key Responsibilities :

• Permitting Oversight : Lead and participate in the permitting process, engaging with municipalities, provinces, and regional authorities.
• Project Development : Oversee project timelines, budgets, and land acquisition, ensuring smooth progression from concept to execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Represent the company in negotiations with external stakeholders, including grid operators and public agencies.
• Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance, construction) to align on project needs.
• Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure regulatory compliance and proactively address permitting challenges.
• Reporting : Monitor project progress and report on KPIs to senior leadership.

Requirements :

• Degree in Engineering (Master’s or MBA in Energy preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in PV, Wind, or BESS project development in Italy.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes and greenfield development.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Willingness to travel.
