Overview

Senior Delivery Consultant - DevOps, WWPS ProServe at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ProServe team designs, implements, and manages AWS solutions to meet technical requirements and business objectives, driving customer success throughout the project lifecycle. You will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose migration strategies while acting as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies. You will lead the implementation process, ensure best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, providing focused guidance through global specialty practices that cover various solutions, technologies, and industries.

This position requires that the candidate possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The role also requires opting into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.

Key responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience
  • 3+ years of software development tools and methodologies
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills
  • Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage
  • Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA and FedRAMP

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; depending on the position, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
