Amazon is building a risk analytics function for a high-growth payments product in Mexico. You will lead end-to-end model development, validation, and governance, transforming data into actionable credit decisions.

As Sr. Data Scientist, you will own model roadmaps across origination, delinquency, collections, and fraud, collaborate with risk, tech, and business teams, and ensure robust monitoring and documentation for audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data querying languages and statistical software.
• 4+ years of data scientist experience.
• Experience with multinomial logistic regression.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of risk models for a payments product.
• Own end-to-end model lifecycle from origination to retirement.
• Develop scorecards using external data, expert rules, and later proprietary data.
• Coordinate with risk, engineering, and business teams on model delivery.
• Define monitoring, documentation, and governance standards for audit readiness.
