We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist for our AI Engine team in Portugal!

We seek a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our team in Brazil / Portugal, contributing to groundbreaking projects in Generative AI. You will help shape the future of AI-powered wellness solutions by leveraging Generative AI, fine-tuning LLMs, and evaluating Agentic systems.

As a Data Scientist in the CARE team, you will develop cutting-edge Agentic AI to enhance and personalize the wellness journey for millions of Wellhub subscribers. Your work will directly impact AI's role in wellness, making it more adaptive and transformative. You will collaborate with engineers and domain experts to create innovative AI applications and solve real-world problems.

YOUR IMPACT

• Model Development & Fine-tuning : Understanding deep learning techniques, transformers, attention mechanisms, and fine-tuning LLMs using techniques like LoRA, QLoRA.
• Function Calling & Tool Use : Design structured function calling mechanisms within LLMs for dynamic API, database, and RAG pipeline interactions.
• Prompt Engineering : Craft instructions, create reusable templates, and test against edge cases.
• Data Preparation : Preprocess, analyze, and curate datasets for training and fine-tuning models.
• Evaluation and Testing : Develop frameworks to assess AI performance, including automated, adversarial, human-in-the-loop, and behavioral metrics.
• LLM Observability : Monitor LLM behavior in production, tracking key metrics like hallucinations and latency.
• Research and Innovation : Stay current with research, share insights, and test new approaches.
• Deployment : Collaborate with engineering teams for scalable deployment.

Main requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
