A day in the life:

As a Senior Data Architect on the Data team, you'll establish consistent data standards, reference architectures, patterns, and practices across the organization for both OLTP and OLAP (Data warehouse, Data Lake house) MDM and AI/ML technologies. You will define reference data architecture and work with agile teams to ensure best practices are used in data platform development. Additionally, you'll create strategies and design solutions for various use cases like Data Migration (end-to-end ETL process), database optimization, and data architectural solutions for Analytics Data Projects. You will also design, develop, and troubleshoot complex technical problems in OLAP/OLTP/DW, Analytics, and provide solutions for Enterprise-level Applications utilizing Azure Data Platform.

1. 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
2. 5-10 years of experience in Enterprise data architecture, Data Modeling, Data management, and Data strategy.
3. 5-7 years of experience in Cloud database technologies.
4. 7-10 years of experience as a data architect.
5. Solid understanding of databases and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products, with the ability to provide trusted advice.
6. Expertise in creating ER (Entity Relationship), Logical, Physical, and Conceptual data models for an enterprise.
7. Experience in data modeling, streaming skills, and data architecture for operational and analytical datastores.
8. Proficiency in designing batch and streaming data ingestion.
9. Knowledge in designing solutions with Data Quality, Data Lineage, and Data Catalogs.
10. Experience solving performance challenges for various data velocities, latencies, and volumes.
11. Designing and maintaining data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
12. Experience with SOA data layer utilizing data access frameworks and exposing data via web services.
13. Experience with Business Intelligence and data mart architecture.
14. Experience creating a data architecture vision aligning business and IT.
15. Ability to communicate the value of data architecture to stakeholders and senior management.
16. Experience in SDLC processes, database patterns, and development frameworks.
17. Strong communication skills for executive presentations.
18. Experience leveraging data in NoSQL and SQL datastores for high availability and disaster tolerance.
19. Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Cloud Native ecosystem, Data Lake/Data Warehouse technologies.
20. Deep expertise in Data engineering capabilities, including architecture, modeling, governance, storage, security, resilience, and replication.
21. Knowledge of Informatica - IICS task flows development and maintenance.
22. Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL, PostgreSQL, or relational databases.
23. Experience with Azure, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, ETL, and MDM.
24. Experience with data integration services like Azure Data Factory.
25. Experience with BI tools; Power BI or Qlik preferred.
26. Experience designing large-scale, enterprise systems in highly available, scalable environments.

Additional qualifications (not required):

• Knowledge of Agency Management systems like Applied EPIC, Vertafore Sagitta, Benefit Point.
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or other cloud certifications.
• Data bricks experience and certification.

Salary range:

Base salary: $113,000 to $197,800, determined by experience, skills, and other factors. Additional incentives may apply.
